Redbud Property Inspections, LLC is one of the largest home inspection companies in the Oklahoma City region. When they contacted me to revamp their existing logo, they expressed that they wanted a new look to coincide with the next phase of the company's growth and expansion of services.
After researching industry leaders both locally and nationwide, I noticed a heavy reliance on visual elements like magnifying glasses, silhouettes of houses, and rooflines. Another prevalent thing was that no logo stood out from the other. It was all businesses that made their branding take a backseat. The industry was ripe for something new.
Redbud avoided the above by going for more of a literal tree. I researched brands of the same name across industries and they all had some kind of tree/flower/leaf going on. So I decided to go on an abstract route that depicted the rings within the bark of a redbud tree. These rings also double as a topography map to represent the ground beneath our feet (since Redbud is an umbrella company that houses several businesses that deal with living on and making land comfortable for its inhabitants). Hidden within the flow of the rings lies an “R”.
The official "redbud" logomark encompasses all of the companies under Redbud Property Investments, LLC. The primary color of the Redbud Brand is a hue called 'Orchid Magenta'. Whenever their Pest Services wing is relevant, the Orchid Magenta will be replaced with a separate color called 'Clay Green'.
This was a challenging project that benefited from the collaborative effort of both client and designer. I believe it to be a clean, unique, and easily identifiable mark that can make a state-wide leader look like a nationwide brand.
